About me

About Me I am a recent Oxford University PPE graduate, and have a passion for these subjects.

I would love to help anyone hoping to take these subjects at university level (a great choice!), or in achieving the grades you deserve! I also have a masters in Development Studies from LSE. Whilst I can provide especially relevant advice to those looking to apply to Oxford for PPE, the skills taught and required at Oxford are highly transferrable to comparable courses at other universities. When I was applying to university, I applied for a range of PPE and Politics and Economics courses, and therefore composed a personal statement suited to both courses.

Applying to University? I’ve recently gone through the UCAS application process myself, and having received all five offers to Russell group universities, including Oxford where I studied, I can hopefully help you to easily prepare a great application, so that you can get back to focusing on your studies without the stress. I also sat the TSA entrance exam for Oxford, and so I can help you to prepare for this and furthermore can offer advice for the interview process.

About my sessions

The Sessions I am very willing for you to determine exactly what content we cover, so that the sessions can be as effective as possible.

The central aspect to studying humanities both at GCSE and A Level is technique, and so sessions would focus on imparting relevant skills for this, utilising the content you want to focus on. Hopefully the sessions will be effective and engaging, because these subjects are incredibly thought-provoking. The key to enjoying studying them, especially if you want to study them at university, is to develop the necessary technical skills early so that you can really immerse yourself in the content that you’re studying!

What Next? If you have any more questions, or want to arrange a session, then you can send me a ‘WebMail’ or book a ‘Meet the Tutor Session’, both through this website. Remember to tell me your exam board and what you’re struggling with so I can best prepare for our session!

Personally interviewed

We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the TiC team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 10 becomes a tutor on our site.
