About me

Hey, I’m Jac, and I study Economics at the University of Bath. My academic interests lie in problem solving. I struggle to succeed in subjects I do not enjoy so I am grateful for finding a discipline that fascinates me so much. I like sports, food, and all forms of social event. My chatty and casual nature generally helps those in contact with me feel calm and comfortable in most situations – something that may be important to you in a tutoring environment.

About my sessions

I was the worst student. I couldn’t revise unless I had the TV on or my teacher physically force fed me the textbook. If you are the same, you will want a tutor who keeps things comfortable. I enjoy my subject far too much to be monotonous, but more importantly it means I love to answer your questions. Ask me anything, i’ll give you an answer you can understand but then also explain any underlying reasoning (mostly just because I want to). I’m highly adaptable so I can teach in a way that best suits you, however my personal preference has always been the use of worked solutions. As for Economics, I didn’t really have a teacher for the second year of my course so I taught myself the textbook. As a result I am strong at teaching all the interesting bits that have graphs and models. I also study it at Uni, which helps. Interested? Get in touch
