I have recently graduated from Durham University with a 1st class degree in Natural Sciences, specializing in Physics and Mathematics. I have always had a passion for science and believe that developing your interest in the subject, during these sessions, will be the key to your success.
I have an excellent examination record and gained experience of helping others whilst completing my A-Levels. I firmly believe that I could help you develop an excellent understanding of the core material then help you apply this knowledge to your examination questions, helping you reach your full potential. I aim to make every session easy to understand by explaining concepts in many different ways, so that you fully understand the ideas. I also have experience marking GCSE Physics exam papers which is valuable experience which I can use to improve your exam technique.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with me or book a free meet the tutor session and I’ll be happy to help!
In a typical session I will start off by briefly explaing what we will cover. I will then spend about 30 to 40 minutes covering the chosen topic(s) in detail, aiming to explain things in many different ways to aid your understanding by asking questions and testing your understanding as we go along.
I then like to spend the last part of the tutorial answering a collection of past exam papers on the chosen topic(s) so you can gain that vital exam technique and experience to best prepare you for your exams. I strongly encourage you to ask any questions you may have throughout the session and I am ready to adapt the structure and plan for the session if we need to.
We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the TiC team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 10 becomes a tutor on our site.
