I am a second year Mathematics student at the University of Warwick after having finished my A-Levels at Sutton Grammar School, during which I achieved A*’s in mathematics and further mathematics, an A in physics and B in biology. During my first year at the University I achieved a weighted average of 76%, and am currently on track to achieve a 1st class degree.
I have taught both maths and english at a group tutoring centre for two years, as well as having privately tutored several students one-on-one. In addition to this I organised a programming club within my school, in which I taught 20 students the basics of programming, and was in charge of my schools mathematics mentoring scheme for weaker students in younger years.
Whether it’s help with homework, or help with an entire topic, I will work through questions with you so that not only will you get the marks you need in your exams, but you will also have a good understanding of how to approach questions similar to those that we work on in the sessions.
We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the TiC team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 10 becomes a tutor on our site.
