Threat from artificial intelligence sees Hong Kong education fund doubled

The ChalkFace has published a series of articles on how AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a growing threat to a wide range of jobs. Therefore, it is good news to see the Hong Kong government taking this problem seriously and trying to help those people affected. This policy sees subsidies granted to those who need to re-train that have lost their jobs because of AI.

The new measures have raised the upper age limit for applicants, and there have already been 715,000 applications for this subsidy — an amazing number given the HK population is only around 7 million.
