Number of top scorers for International Baccalaureate exams in Hong Kong drops to 34 from last year’s 38

While the headline seems to suggest that Hong Kong’s IB performance has worsened year on year, this result is still excellent.

It is extremely difficult for students to gain a 45 at IB. Those students that achieved this feat should be very proud of their accomplishment and we offer our congratulations to them all.

According to the International Baccalaureate Organisation, 2,284 Hong Kong students took the exams across 29 international and local schools this year. The IB programme is taught in 152 countries and has been available in Hong Kong since 1988.

If you are unhappy with your IB result and it means you have missed your offer, come in for a free consultation with ITS and we will see how we can help you.
